[In long article on fight between citizens of New York and
the soldiers attempting to cut down the liberty pole:]
The soldiers still bent on further insults to the citizens,
on Friday the 19th, published the following paper, and went
in posses through the streets, putting them up at the most
publick places of the city, and threw some of them into the
Mayor's entry.
God and a soldier all men doth adore
In time of war, and not before:
When the war is over and all things righted,
God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
